The Red Cross operates in the field of humanitarian aid on the basis of seven fundamental common principals, adopted at the 20th international Red Cross Conference held in Vienna in 1965, which represent the spirit and ethics of the Red Cross and of which they are guarantors and leaders. These principals encapsulate the movement's objectives and how they are to be carried out.
The Italian Red Cross choosed the FlexCMP content management platform for its institutional site. This allowed them to redesign their site in terms of usability and accessibility.
The new portal has been enriched with the Community, Newsletter, Forum, and Surveys modules to support a profitable exchange of user interactions. Furthermore, the following additional modules have been added: Multilingual, Photo Gallery and Repository.
