Accessible Today, and in the future

Accessible Today, According to WCAG 2.0 and Italian Law 4/2004

On the 8th of August 2005 a Ministerial Decree was published announcing "Provisions to support the access to information technologies for the disabled". This made specific technologies official for the creation of accessible sites according to Law 4/2004 (Stanca Law). FlexCMP allows you to create internet sites which are completely in accordance with Law 4/2004 and any of its connected decrees. To create accessible sites FlexCMP unites specific automaticisms for the automatic conformity of customised suggestions during the content insertion stage. Moreover, it integrates analytical and testing tools on the existing site, making sure that accessibility is maintained a high level over time. Accessibility is not obtainable in a completely automatic way because many tasks regard the logical sense of the contents. FlexCMP does offer the possibility to automaticise the majority of the work, after a short training period dedicated to editors which is more focused on content.

Accessible in the future, according to future technological and normative evolutions.W3C WAI

Thanks to a design which is geared towards accessibility based on the separation of semantic code, code, and graphic presentation, sites created with FlexCMP can be quickly adjusted for future normative evolutions. Because FlexCMP generates the page code there are two advantages:

  • Editors don't need to learn XHTML or CSS
  • If future developments require new modifications to the code, FlexCMP will regenerate them in a suitable way.
